Yes. The major league team pays salaries and the minor league club covers most of the other expenses (travel, lodging, equipment, etc). AAA players make at least $2150/month, though most (especially those on the 40-man roster) make more, up into the $50,000 range.

Certain organizations like the Yankees for instance own all their minor league teams outright and as a corporation they are responsible for all player slaries. However the income for those players usually comes from sponsorships and ticket sales and merchandise sold byt that particular team....Just like AROD gets paid because it costs 500 $ to take your g/f to a game....
