List of possible reasons why a computer won't turn on:

1. Not plugged in to a power outlet.
2. Plugged in but the power outlet has no electrical power.
3. Bad power cord.
4. Bad power supply (on the CPU box)
5. Bad power switch

When you press the power switch (to turn ON), sometimes there are parts of the computer that light up but nothing relevant would come out of the monitor, then it could be that the motherboard is burnt up.

For desktops, the monitor has a separate power cord - so check the power to the monitor also.

Hope this helps... cheers!

No power. Make sure it is plugged in, the wall socket is live and the power cable is good. Possible bad switch. Bad power supply. Beyond that we need to know if it does anything and won't come up, if there are any sounds or lights and so on.

by ability of it received't start up, do you recommend it received't boot up or no longer some thing in any respect occurs? even if that's thoroughly useless, then you definately've a foul on/off change, potential grant, or once you've it plugged right into a surge protector that could nicely be tripped. If it received't do some thing. basically be particular you've potential on the plug the position you plug it in first. in case you recommend it tries as well up and could no longer. then it may nicely be distinct motives including you hav a trojan or virus.
