Well , if you sign on , you have the online status on the bottom of that picture. it says " I'm Online " that means the person is currently available to talk to and to chat with you. If the person logged out.. and if it still says " I'm Online "than that means they didn't click the SIGN OFF button . That they just clicked X without clicking the sign off button.

When someone gets on to myspace, it has the "im online" thing that pops up on their profile and on the friends list. When they log off, sometimes the "in online" things lags behind a few minutes after they log off, ive noticed, but it eventually goes away....thats about it! =)

It does mean you're 'currently online'..and when you sign out of MySpace it goes off.

It means the person is online and logged in. Under profile settings, you can choose to display "online" or keep it hidden. It's really just to let your friends know if you're online and available to chat or comment.

It means that they are currently logged in at this moment. Like the great Alli mentioned above, it does tend to lag after you sign off.
