Well, we'd have no tides, for one thing. The earth's rotation would also change, and there'd probably be a good deal of wobble added to our rotation. Volcanos would erupt, mountains would crumble...basically it would be pretty rotten for a while.

Well, a lot would depend on how it was destroyed. If it was hit by a massive asteroid that broke it into pieces, or something, many large chunks of debris would hit earth, probably killing off everything larger than single-celled organisms. There's really no way it could be "destroyed" without this happening, unless you're talking about the Hand of God plucking it from the sky.

If enough of the moon's mass hit our planet, it would have even more devastating consequences. It would essentially break open the earth's crust and result in all but a mass of molten rock again.

If the moon was gone the ocean tides would not occur. It's impossible to predict all the effects but it certainly would impact marine life, ocean currents, probably the weather.

If the moon was blown up and the debris was still in orbit the tidal forces would probably be more spread out.

I'm not sure if it would impact the earth's rotation or orbit. Interesting question. You might ask this in the astronomy section.

Assuming the Earth doesn't suffer collateral damage, the most noticable change would be that the ocean tides would stop. Species of animals that live in tidal planes might become extinct.

No more tides for one, maybe armagegon like consequences if and big pieces hit us. Poetry would change , and calanders wouln't show moon phases anymore.

Less light at night, no more lunar or solar eclipses.

We wouldn't be thrown out of orbit or anything though,
