At this point it wont make a difference the hatred of the US is so evident that no matter what we do it wont stop terrorism at home or abroad. We started something that God knows we were never able to finish. This will go on until the end of time this war, n the terrorist attacks. Honestly.

Before I answer the question I want you to know where I stand. I am someone who am OK with the war, but wish we had had a constitutional declaration of war from the congress. I do believe that we if set a time table to withdraw it would encourage the terrorist to just sit back and wait until we leave. The Brits can leave because they aren't the big fish. The USA is the big fish running things.

Yes, I do. It would aloow the terrorists to conserve resources until we pulled out. After we pulled out it would escalate and their would be full-blown civil war. This is different than England's plan because we have so many more troops in the war than England does. Thier withdrawal won't have a huge effect.
That said, I don't think we belonged there in the first place, but we broke it we bought it.

england does not have as many men in iraq, and does not have a vested interest in iraq like this nation does. unlike bush, tony blair listened to his people and did the right thing. america, on other hand, has oil interests, as well as desire to keep strong military presence in middle east! and by telling the rest of world exactly when we will withdraw, yes, it could motivate some terrorists to make a strike again!

In the short run yes but in the long probably not. England pulling out will be backfilled with US troops. That's why Pres. Bush asked for additional troops.

No--it would not encourage the terrorists--or the factions in the Iraqi civilwar. That is simply Bush propaganda.
