2 years ago(2005) my uncle raped me.I never told anyone coz he said he'd kill me and my family. This year I made a friend.He's a boy in my school. We became really close and I told him about what happened to me. He was really supportive and I felt so glad that he was there for me.
But since about a week ago,he's become so distant,he sometimes ignores me when I walk past him at school and when I ask him what's wrong, he acts like he doesn't know what I'm talking about but I know something's up. Please help me, I really love him(as a friend) and don't want to lose him...what should I do, it feels as if we're drifting apart more and more each day...

I'm really sorry to hear what happened to you. Please know that you are not alone. It is more common than you think. It sounds like he maybe doesn't know what to say now. Maybe he feels like he might say the wrong thing if he says anything at all. I think you might want to try and get him alone-especially away from his friends and try to talk to him. Ask him if you scared him by telling you that or if he is uncomfortable now that he knows. I hate it when you confide in someone and it turns out later that you wish you hadn't. They aren't the person you thought they were at all. I have been there! Sometimes you think you have found that perfect, best friend and all the sudden, things have changed and you two drift apart and never know why.

Unfotunately there's a kind of people that always think that girls or any victim of a rape has the guilt and that is so wrong cause the only guilty person in fact is the raper but I think you did what you thought was the correct thing to do and if your friend shows a distant attitude well who cares. yes maybe you care but think about it if he always is going to be distant for something you have no guilt well in fact I will reconsider the kind of friendship of that person has with you because, how freddie mercury said once ago Friends will be Friends Right until the end, and that's true that is real friendship has to be.

Sounds like he doesn't feel the same way and you need to give him some space. It's hard but something you are going to have to deal with as a part of life.

ohhhhhhhh sweety thats so horribol iam really sorry about that.and this story happend before to many ppl,told that to your friend and you justtried to be honest with him cuz u loves him as a friend and u rust him .he should understand the rigth and good sideof u..

u need to have a chat with and find out what's on his mind.maybe he want's to be more than "just friends" and that's why he's distanting himself from u.he does'nt want to lose the friendship u both have.
