My original ob/gyn wouldn't give me a hysterectomy either. As a result, I nearly bled to death. The doctor I saw soon after (a woman), read my records and nearly died. I was having the needed surgery so fast, my head spun. I hugged her.

I'll gladly take the hormone therapy for the rest of my life. A small trade off for what I went through.

Depo provera would stop you, but if you can't take the pill then you may well not be able to take it either.

Talk to your doctor about this...but I don't know of any way to prevent ovulation w/o surgery to remove your organs, or one of the various types of hormone birth control.

Have you searched online for anything?

If you don't want any more children then there is no reason the doc can't give you a hysterectomy. I would consult some other docs to see if they will help you out.
