Are you only considered married if you have a piece of paper saying you are? Or can you be married to someone becasue you have been commited to them for so long but dont want the goverment to dabble in your affairs.

The government is a bunch of "I'm so bad *** and can do anything I want to" bastards. A stupid piece of paper and thousands of dollars don't necessarily make you married. Well unless ur on the governments side. I ALWAYS say I'm married to my husband but in all honesty, were not. We've been together for 6 years and have one kid. I've had one miscarriage, alot of learning experience, a car wreck that left husband paralyzed, so yeah I'd say we are close enough to be married. We live together, we fight like no other, and we are very close. The only thing that's keeping us from being married is a freakin piece of paper. How ridiculous! I'm on ur side, man!

Marriage is a partnership where you share your life with someone whom you've fallen in love with and decided this is the right person to be with for the rest of your life. You will share laughs, friends, and special moments but also hard times and problems in which your love will be put to the test, that's where you need to come together compromise, and think about what is best for each other as a family, that is what determines if your marriage can succeed in the long run. Depending on what state you live in, & length of the relationship. Piece of paper or not, in the end the goverment will dabble in your affairs.

Marriage is a social institution that the government likes to get involved with. Marriage traditionally has been a religious ceremony and, therefore, if on is not religious then the government steps in to document your intentions.

The government encourages marriage through tax law among other means to meet its intent of growing the population and increasing taxes.

If you are not hung up on others opinions then get married and don't file a marriage certificate with the government or just be friends forever.

What's significant is the relationship. For the most part, "marriage" is just an extra set of legal details, but important ones none the less. I'm talking about taxes and consideration for the children.

Children deserve to have two married parents, regardless of how loving they may be.

Marriage is the legal bond between two ppl of any gender who have made a commitment to each other in the sanctuary of marriage. It is a document that protects them and their relationship and entitles them to many benefits and responsibilities to each other, for each other and for their children.

The government "dabbles in your affairs" to protect people in a relationship especially if children are involved.

You don't need a piece of paper to tell you that you are married....all you need is your love and your "spouse"
