I'm a virgin, and I use tampons (I got tired of pads, too). Depending on how tight your hymen is and how small your canal is, it might be a bit painful/uncomfortable to insert a tampon. To fix this (I had that problem), try these ideas:

1) Put some KY lubricating jelly (really cheap, get it near the tampons and condoms) on the tip of the tampon before you insert it. This will make it slide in more easily, with less friction.
2) Get tampons with plastic applicators, not cardboard ones. They're a lot smoother. Often the cardboard ones have the cotton tampon sticking out, and that can burn going in (if it scrapes against the walls of your canal).
3) Try the slender tampons or "light" tampons. It can be hard to find the light tampons, but a lot of brands have slender tampons now. They have the same absorbency as regular tampons but are thinner. I recommend Playtex's "Gentle Glide" tampons. They're the most comfortable ones for me.

But I encourage you, try tampons! They're so much less messy and more comfortable than pads!

It doesn't matter if you are a virgin or not to wear a tampon. They are a preferred altnerative for many. If you aren't satisfied using pads anymore, then try tampons and see if you like them better. They are the most common protection used by women during menstruation.

It really doesn't matter if you are a virgin or not. Tampons are a more secure way of proventing embarrassing leaks, but they aren't for everyone. For some, they can be a little uncomfortable, but for others they won't even feel it. I would try it and see how you like it.

For Christ's sake, whoever started that virginity crap with tampons should be shot.

It doesn't matter...It will work all the same. I prefer tampons, I find them more sanitary and less mess.

It doesn't matter if you are a virgin or not. Tampons are more sanitary, you just need to get used to them.

maybe because it would be tighter down there
but the muscles automatically contract when anything gets put in down there so you dont have to worry about it falling out

when i was still a virgin, i know that i couldn't wear one at all. don't force it either because you could rip your hymen.
