Simple Answer: "Prescriptions for glasses are valid for two years, and contact-lens prescriptions are valid for one year. This can vary with individual circumstances".
I use Dolland & Atchison. I only wear glasses occasionally as I'm short-sighted. They always send me a reminder in the post whenever my next eye test is due.
When you have a new eye test varies depending on your sight. If you plan to get new glasses, I think it's best to get your eyes re-tested as your eyesight would have changed since your last one which is nearly 2 years ago.
Have a look at:
http://www.danda.co.uk/opticians/home/
this website offers a lot of details about eye tests, glasses and wearing contacts.
If you are worried about the cost, you may be exempt from paying for your test e.g. if you are on benefits (have a look at the above link).
For other opticians, have a look at Specsavers:

I'd suggest getting an eye test... Would hate to think of usiong an old prescription - paying lots for glasses - and then not being able to see properly.
Most good opticians would probably recommend an eye test anyway!
I had laser eye surgery to avoid this!

Yes you should get them re-tested. Your eyes can change in a matter of months. You will do more harm than good if you use an out of date perscription. If you work for a company, you should be able to claim your eye test back.

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/m1P3q
A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

I have really bad eyes and I was told by my eye Dr. that you need to have yearly check ups. I go every year. Every year they have gotten worse but the last two years have been the same. SO the answer is every year, I hope that helps!

Yes, I think you are due for one right about now. (18 months-2 years, depending on age and any conditions you might have).
