Would you still eat it?

If you left your lunch for a minute (at work), went to get a napkin, and came back to see a fly on your food?

Of course. Do you have any idea how much bacteria and airborn critters are eating your food while you're eating the food AND them?

Believe it or not, human beings were able to survive without air-tight and air-conditioned buildings once upon a time. Bugs got in the food. Sometimes, bugs WERE the food. And it was fine. Everyone nowadays is so afraid of anything having to do with nature or the outdoors. No one rides with their windows down, no one wants to walk anywhere, everyone sanitizes the hell out of everything.

Just go on a hiking trip for a week and see how many bugs you end up eating in your food. You aren't going to die from it, either. A little fresh air and an opportunity to build your immune system wouldn't be a bad thing.

I probably would eat it, because I wouldn't have anything else to eat at the office. I would try to scoop off the part where the fly was though. But really, how many times has someone eaten food that a fly has landed on without knowing? Probably more often than not, the person did not develop a horrible illness from it.

yeah, who gives? there are children starving in all parts of the world, kids who go to bed hungry, young ones who would gladly eat right from the ground to get a meal in their stomaches, and i'm worried about a litlle fly? Kinda silly, isn't it?

if it was only one fly I would still eat the food if I was hungry.

NO, flies carry funky diseases. Ya never know if they wash their little tentacles
