Squeegee them after every use, and forget the Tilex. Use Windex for cleaning. Tilex can leave streaks.

There is a product called The Works that is great on hard water spots and such! I would use it like once a week or so (depending on how bad your water is...) and also I have an automatic sprayer in my shower that we use every day or every other at the least, to keep away soap scum build up and such! Good luck!

First and foremost GET A WATER SOFTNER!
The Works are excellent products to use with hard water. In a different answer someone suggested car polish on the glass to prevent mineral problems, I'm going to try that.
