Robert Nesta Marley OM (February 6, 1945 – May 11, 1981) was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is the most widely known performer of reggae music, and is famous for popularising the genre outside Jamaica. A faithful Rastafari, Marley is regarded by many as a prophet of the religion.

Well Nicolas, he was a famous reggae artist from Jamaica...some of his most popular songs include "Exodus" and "Redemption Song"...you can find them on iTunes. Also, his songs often included political messages addressing colonialism in the Caribbean as well as power structures which do not attempt to aid the impoverished. He unfortunately passed away from cancer at the age of 39, but his memory lives on as a musical revolutionary.
