No they couldnt make the cars on the big dipper the right size to fit a donkey in. The donkeys can watch but they arent allowed on the rides.
Question for the killjoys. How are donkey rides animal cruelty? The animals are well looked after, are fed and watered regularly. Donkeys were originally working animals. I dont think walking steadily with a 4 year old on your back 500 yards up the beach and back constitutes being cruel somehow. Its not like they are beaten and forced to walk over hot coals or anything. No one claims that horse riding is cruel. Stop being miserable

They do at Blackpool but the donkey ride owners have to be licenced by the council and the donkeys get official breaks and lunch breaks each day, and can only work for a certain number of hours without a break. This is to prevent animal cruelty and its strictly regulated.

Think so. They still had donkeys at Scarborough last summer. Probably other places too.

Yes they do, but they have strict conditions like, they have to have breaks and plenty of food and water and days off and stuff. i never really liked riding a donkey, they were hard and smelly and their fur was very bristley.

there are donkeys on blackheath every sunday, i know that's not the seaside....
