The parking of a caravan is usually in the deeds for you house, or part of a rental/tenancy agreement. Most of the time they forbid it.

You obviously feel (by asking this question) that some people can object to it. So why not do the decent thing and store it in a caravan park.
Then you will leave the parking space for someone elses car. I would not want to look out of my house and see your caravan parked there.

Some cities have deed restrictions which prohibit trailers/motor homes parked out in front of the house.
It's hard to say whether it is legal or not, that would depend. If you are in a residential neighborhood that is fairly upscale, I'd say they will have a problem with it.
Just park it there and if someone complains, then you'll have to find a storage space for it.

Considering the cost of a caravan park, this should be a small price to pay for added security. It saves having to comply with all the legal obligations in order to do what you are asking, surely?

Yes, as long as it does not cause an obstruction. When parking your caravan try and park it as considerately as possible for other residents in the street.
Also the caravan MUST be lit at night if it is parked on a road.
It must always have number plates

The laws are different in different cities. Check with your local municipality. Some places don't even let you park your caravan or RV in view from the street.

To be certain check your local laws on this one as they vary from city to city.
A lot of places discourage to prevent people from sleeping or living on the roadside. These laws are in place to prevent vagrancy.
Call the police station or your department of motor vehicles and find out what the case is in your town.

You don't own the road and have absolutely no rights whatsoever over it. This includes passing and re-passing along it as a competent authority, e.g, the police may close it without reference to you.
