I'm planning another trip to Hawaii and she does not want to come along...If I go alone, she'll get upset. If I stay in the area with her, I'll feel short changed....do you think we have a possible future?

Talk to her and explain this exact way as you explained it to us. I think that she would then make the effort to come!

We like our little cosy life, you men like the wild adventure. But both sides can sacrifize. You shouldn't travel as often, since she like her cosy life, but balance both sides is the best thing.

Can i come with you to Hawai then? I want to travel and leave my bloody mother in law in hell to burn. I hate her and would be a great way to go away for a while... hah!

If the only trouble in your marriage is where to vacation, then be thankful. It sounds like you two can compromise. What exactly does she not like about Hawaii? Is it the getting there? What is it that you don't like about staying closer to home?

You need to both communicate the pluses and minuses and work out a compromise. If Hawaii is out, maybe another beach destination closer to home may work.

Good luck.

I'm wondering the reason she doesn't want to go....is she afraid to fly? (and not telling you) That could be something you could help her work on. Is Hawaii not her idea of a great place to go? Perhaps you could change your destination? If she is happiest at home and you are not...that is your first indication. Not sure you need many more of them if you're quite the traveler.

I'm not sure I understand the "stay at home and chill" point of view of not going to Hawaii. I like to stay at home and chill, but, It's Hawaii. Find a nice beach and let her chill there. You know, some sort of a compromise. You do part of her "chillin" with her, and she can do part of your traveling' with you.
