Best to have it done somewhere like the dealership. Although some dealerships outsource this to a body shop or other place. You should have 2 types one is caramel colored and goes inside the fenders doors and on all seems of doors trunk and hood. The other is normally a black spray under the car. It is mostly sold as a sound proof not a rust proof. What you really are paying for is the warranty. But be careful and read the warranty carefully. Most companies specify that rusting has to start from the inside and work its way out. From my experience most cars start with surface rust. I don't think they cover that but I could be wrong just make sure to read it carefully if you are considering getting it done.

i really like kbs rustseal. http://www.kbs-coatings.com
i sealed my frame with it and it looks great. rocks do not chip it and there are absolutely no signs of rust. and the guys you talk to on the phone know their stuff.

i am a do it yourselfer, so i am not sure if car painting companies do it, but you could call once you get the rustseal ordered.

Yes they will, as well as dealerships, it is called undercoating and they clean the underneath and apply a sound deadener and undercoat to the fuel tank, pans and frame. runs 450 at my place.
