I have a Pearl export bass guitar. I bought new in Memmingen Germany, in the early 80's. I have called the Pearl company, twice, and have check on the web several times, and noone knows anything about this guitar. Can anyone give me any information on this very high quality guitar? I have a broken bridge, and am looking for a new one, and I don't want to hurt the guitar's value by alteringing it, to accept a new style bridge. Any help will be appreciated.

Pearl was first introduced and made by the Gherson company of Italy in the late 70s. Production moved to Japan in 78 or 79 until they ended production in the early 80s.

They were considered by most to be an average quality instrument, and featured original designs and copies of American instruments.

Don't worry too much about changing the bridge... these sell in the used market for $80.00 to $150.00.
