I'm looking into a job prospect in San Marcos, CA (northeast of San Diego, east of Oceanside). Problem is, the job, while it's what I would want, wouldn't pay a lot, and I don't think I'd be able to live in the city itself. I'd have to commute from elsewhere.

What are some close, relatively reasonable apartment areas around San Marcos from which I could commute?

You can look in either Vista or Oceanside. Both have some older areas with less expensive housing in them. There is some in San Marcos as well, but it's rarer. Vista has a better reputation and would be closer, so I'd start there.
Here's a website with a $200 reward for renting through them

You can also search on craigslist.org for apartments in North County to see what's available and for how much

hi, the proble is that the entire San Diego county section is way extreme priced, like 6 to eight circumstances that of different states. A one bedroom living house as an party in the San Marcos section rents for over $1200 a month on the low area even as the nationwide avarage should be in person-friendly words about $475 a month. For the marginally more advantageous powerful fee, evaluate Escondido.
