GUJARATHI SHETHS ARE THE NATIVE GUJARATHI BUSINESS COMMUNITIES PEOPLE. THEY ARE VERY SHREWD AND BUSINESS LIKE. THEY ARE VERY CAREFUL WITH THEIR MONEY AND THEY INVEST IN SHARE MARKET AND COMMODITY MARKETS RIGHT FROM THEIR CHILDHOOD ( PARENTS INVEST ON THEIR BEHALF).
GENERALLY THEY RECEIVE GOLD OR SHARES AS THEIR BIRTHDAY GIFTS FROM PARENTS AND NEAR RELATIVES.

THEYARE BASICALLY GOOD PEOPLE AND GETTING ANY FINANCIAL HELP FROM THEM IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT PROPER CONSIDERATION.

Sheth means a rich man.
Gujerathi sheths R very industrious,charity minded & soft spoken.Among them Jains, Vaishnavas, Lohanaas & Bhatiyas R prominent.
The jains R very restrictive in their diets. They start their day with feeding grass to cows , grain to doves & sugar to ants.But if a man is lying by the roadside wanting some water , they 'd rarely oblige. In business they R selfish & ruthless.
Most Gujeratis in Mumbai R still not reconciled to the inclusion of Mumbai City in the state of Maharashtra.
In the 1993 riots their shops & houses were saved from muslim marauders by marathi Shiv Sainiks at the cost of their own life or limb. For this , the Gujratis were highly grateful at that time,.Very soon thereafter they have promptly forgotten these obligations & now they hate Shiva Sena & Marathis.
