Lebron James. And it's not close.
Carter has consistently resisted being the franchise player, and is soft as tissue paper when the spotlight's put on him. Lebron James has been carrying the Cavs his entire career, and is a much more well rounded player than Vince.
Without LBJ, the Cavs are an NBDL team. Without Carter, the Nets are still solid.
The true test? Carter was available at the trade deadline... and no one wanted him. The Magic wouldn't include draft bust Darko Milicic- averaging all of 8 points and 6 rebounds- in a trade for Carter, even though they need a perimeter scorer to pair with Dwight Howard. If LBJ was ever made available- even with Carter's exorbitant contract- there would be teams lining up for his services.
The word's out around the league about Carter now. They all know what Raptor fans have known for a while- that he's an exciting player, but for the most part, a fraud in the area of playing team basketball.

Why are you asking that question when you know that the majority if not all will answer Lebron James? Vince Carter is nothing compared to the pro.

despite all of the king james stuff, carter is an experienced, team player
james is a gud player, dont get me wrong, BUT plays for himself
How many times have u heard carter trying his best to get to the finals as opposed to james?

vince carter. james is a great player and has so much talent, but no one can top vince carter and his "arm through the rim" dunk.

My choice would be Lebron because he is younger and seems to have a smaller ego than Vince.
