I am new to SQL and have been working with Access for the past year. I want to be able to build forms with automation but need to learn the usage of structured query language to do so.

I'm fond of http://www.sqlcourse.com/ to get started with SQL
It offers an opportunity to do all the SQL through their site - including creating tables!

Try taking apart the Northwind database, using the tools Microsoft has built into Access. It is an excellent example of what can be done, and it is easy to see *how* it was done by taking it apart.
