how to save image without distortion?

everytime i make a graphic or image in my paint program and save it , it becomes distorted/blurred, how can i stop it from doing this?

and if i cant, what way could i make a collage on my computer and save it without it becoming distorted?

If you are saving a file that you made in MS Paint, you should save it in BMP. It prevents distortion...if you want to save it in .gif format, for animation, then get a program that can import bmp files and automaticaly convert them into gifs.
