Call me boring, but I'm apalled that the single for CR is two men PRETENDING to be disabled-mocking people in wheelchairs-that is certainly not going to make me buy it! And that sketch with Ricky Gervais was the pits. The only sketch that I found funny was Catherine Tate and Daniel Craig. As far as the presenters went, I liked Fearne and Kate, but found the rest of them too patronising for words. (I know it was a few days ago, but I've not had the chance to get on YA until now)
I shall continue to donate my money to the NSPCC-forget Comic Relief. Please let me know what you think.

Just to add, the reason I don't give to CR is not because the comedy isn't funny, it is because I like to know where my money is going, eg. NSPCC, Cancer Research and my local cat and dog shelter, thankyou!

You're absolutely entitled to donate your money how you wish but I think you'll find that one of the biggest frustrations of most disabled people is that people defend them like they don't have their own voice. Or in this case, a sense of humour about themselves and they definitely do.

I agree that mostly its not very funny, although I thought the Vicar of Dibley sketch was okay, lauren and tony blair was pretty funny, borat was pointless (mainly because little kids were still part of the live audiencein the front row!) but elaine and daniel craig were very funny - and yes he is gorgeous!!!!!
I still donated a tenner though as the stories in between always get me in tears and I feel guilty sitting there drinking a glass of wine and tucking into a packet of wotsits!

I am not a fan of Little Britain but there are many who for some reason find it funny...... Fearne yes, but Kate (I'm so pretentious with no talent) Never!!!! As for Lenny Henry he should have been put out to grass years ago. How much of the donations went on .....'EXPENSES'??? How else can you explain Lenny Henry working one day every 2 years and still being a millionaire?????? As for the charity part.....60% goes to Africa and 40% to the U.K........But how much of that 40% goes to needy Brits and how much to the already over aided immigrants????

I love Little Britain and Peter Kay but agree with you that its in bad taste. Ricky Gervais & Co (I was really surprised Bob Geldof took part in that sketch) was beyond belief. Catherine Tate was OK but that about it really. First time in years that I have watched it and agree the humour went out years ago.

For you to decide not to donate to Comic Relief because you did not enjoy all of the comedy, is quite frankly, appalling!!!
I agree that the sketch with Ricky Gervais wasn't great, but the point he is making, is that most celebrities only get involved with charities to promote themselves, and he is right!!! And the single for CR, fair enough they are just 'PRETENDING' to be in wheel chairs, but that is what comedy is about, it is all abit far fetched.
I think you need to lighten up abit and take Comic Relief for what it is, and that is exactly that, COMIC RELIEF!!!
I do agree though that Catherine Tate is funniest, but you could argue that she too mocks people!!! There is an argument in everything, you just chose this because it does not suit your sense of humor!! tut tut, get with the cause!!

actually the official single is girls aloud and the sugababes, this is just a little extra to make people laugh and raise more money. Lighten up and get a sense of humour.

i disagree with you that they mock people in wheelchairs but i agree that the 'comedy' has not been part of the show for years. as someone else said, cancel the olympics and give the £9bn to charity.

I never buy charity singles because they're always crap. I prefer to give to charity WITHOUT getting something in return.
