What is the most important thing to do to promote more democracy in the world?

What do you do after you "remove" dictators? Is Iraq your example? Wonderful democracy they have there...

Kill dictators, stamp out communism/socialism, and give everyone free haircuts.

We never should have attacked Iraq in the first place, we all know it was not about anything but serving a self interest of the president. I believe that you can not force democracy on anyone. The best way to expand democracy and democratic values on a people is to lead by example. Look at China which is becoming more capitalistic by the day. Human rights abuse is down and they are even going to host the Olympics, it is amazing. Russia is another example of a country that has modified their views. I don't think that it is probable at all to expect a democracy from the barrel of a gun.

Practice Democracy at home. Lead by example. Protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Vote Democratic!

Practice it where you live. Vote when the time comes to vote. Make your voice heard.
Peacefully demonstrate when you feel just cause for it. Do not practice violent rhetoric or make wild claims.
In short first and foremost set an example.

The best way that I know of is by making it a success here. When we can give a good impression on others they may want to come to our way of thinking.

Remove dictators and refuse them entry to the U.N.. Now if you don't believe that freedom is good or for everyone you will not agree with this.
