He would have died in the service of his country, so "needlessly" is an idiotic term to use. I would feel sad but proud. And the responsibility would lay at the feet of the cowardly islamofascist who believes you fight a war from behind women and children and while dressed up in a burqa. And I also lay guilt at the feet of people who say "ooooh, I support the troops but not the mission" and "we're going to end this war by denying reinforcements and killing it with a slow bleed"

STEV- Great answer!
I voted for Bush 2x and my 22 cousin(marine) was killed there.
I don't feel guilty or responsible- He believed in what they were doing there... and his word counts for more in my book then the filth the media spews. In fact my cousin was planning to be a "lifer" in the marines- so he definitely believed in what he was doing! I am terribly sad and I miss him very much- however it has only made me believe in this war more- as I now want us to finish what we started- I don't want him to have died and have us pull out half way through- he wouldn't want a halfassed job being done.
The only thing I feel bad about is that he had to give his life to protect your freedom to ask such a foolish question.

It is only in the minds of liberals to think that a soldier making the ultimate sacrifice is "needless". I would honor my childs decision to serve. Would YOU feel guilty and responsible if your child died needlessly in a car accident?

what's greater embarrassing is having something to do with those pandering fools which will say or do something to deliver down dissent on a dreadful yet needed conflict for their very own advantageous aspects. absolutely everyone with 0.5 a strategies, any guts in any respect and any sense of appreciating liberty and risk-free practices of domicile is familiar with the might desire to assist the Iraq conflict - exceedingly as quickly as we've our very own people on the floor there. people who whine for duck and run are a shame, risky to their u . s ., lend convenience to our enemies and placed our troops into added peril.

Why should I ? Many thousands died in the Second World War. Do you suppose the parents of those killed feel guilty because they voted for Roosevelt ?

Who says the deaths in Iraq are "needless"?
We couldn't very well liberate Iraq and remove Saddam without some deaths.

No! Why would I feel guilty? He volunteered to go! I nor the President didn't make him go. I would certinally greive for him and would have wished he hadn't gone. I think this is a terriable question! Very disrespectful to the families.
