District Managers are always a-holes...it's a part of their job description.
It's just a part-time job. They are a dime a dozen, and not worth the stress especially if you aren't supporting a family or yourself.

If you're only working 12 hours a week, I would invest the rest of my time in finding a more suitable, more enjoyable line of work. If transportation is an issue, find something closer to home.
In the meantime, keep trying to warm up to the deputy manager and maybe it'll make your late shifts a bit better.

I think it sounds like a nightmare! For $4.50/hr. it isn't worth it! You'd get better paid at McDonald's for a lot less stress. Sorry, but I'd be telling them to take a hike. However, try to have a job to go to when you quit them. I wouldn't give them much notice either, they probably wouldn't keep you the two weeks anyway. Don't bring this job up to new employers. Good luck! We've all been there!

Could try turning the negatives into positives. Well jobs are usually not that easy to come by especially the better ones. One might keep at this one till you find something different or better. Or you could focus full-time attention to that new job but then you wouldn't have any income. Hang in there life is what you put into it.

Only 12 hours a week for all that trouble? Get a different job.

For now, keep on with the job you have, meanwhile continue with your job search. Keep hopeful. Don't leave until you have a better offer.

It really concerns me when people lay out the issue and then ask the question. Clearly you do not like it there so the best solution is find something else. GEEZ!
