No, but you may have back labor.

Suggestions for Dealing with Back Labor:
Change positions frequently - Any position in which the weight of the baby is taken off your back is helpful, such as sitting, leaning forward and putting your weight on your elbows, kneeling in bed with the head of bed elevated, kneeling on your hands and knees.
Use counter pressure - firm constant pressure applied to your lower back where the pain is localized. This can be given by your partner or nurse or by leaning against a firm object, such as a rolled towel or tennis balls.
A hot water bottle or an ice pack applied to your back may offer some relief.A warm shower or bath may be helpful.
Sterile water injections into the skin of the lower back. Discuss this with your healthcare provider

C-section is a possibility, my first son was face up, and I had to have a c-section after pushing for 4, yes 4 hours. It will also depend on how big the baby is. My first son was 10 lbs. 4 oz.
Good luck!

Well my 3rd baby was in the same position and I had him naturally. I will say though that the midwife had to help turn him a little during my pushing and I did have to push for 73 minitues. My first 2 babies were a lot faster!! I didn't have any kind of pain medication and after we got to the pushing I sure did want it!! I am sure your baby will be fine and you too! Good Luck

No..not neccessarily. All three of my children came out that way...looking up instead of down. It caused a whole lot of back labor, and my third needed forceps, but they all came out vaginally. The labors were a little longer than I think they would have been otherwise though..23 hours 1st....only 6 hours 2nd, and 28 hours 3rd.

they're all right. c section is not necessary, but it will be a more painful delivery. ever heard of back labor? thats what they're talking about. And vacuum/foreceps aren't always necessary in theses cases. my little cousin was born in december sunny side up, with no help geting out.

I had my first vaginally even though she was sunny side up! Just means labor will probably be harder since it will take longer to dilate. They had to use the vacuum and forecepts for mine. They may need to do that for you too. She may still spin around for you though. Good luck

nope, just means its going to be a little more difficult during labor. My daughter was sunny side up and they had to vacuum her because she got stuck. Few stitches later, we were both good to go. No c-section.

i think you should be able to have a regular delivery, you might check with your doctor however. my youngest daughter was born face up and every time the doctor tried to turn her face down her heart beat would stop so she ended up being born face up
