Andrew Jackson, I believe, was from Tennessee, a southern state in the Conferacy, however we maintained a Union position as to the need to be one nation. He was, like many people from the time of the US revolution, a firm believer that the central influence of political power should be the STATE not the Federal government. Like many people of the day they feared the abuses of a strong central government. Some would point to what we have happening today as examples of what they didn't want to have.

Simply put he want to have the US be a collect of 50 States more than a unified country. It is this basic difference that was the fundamental underlying cause of the Civil War. Not slavery despite what many think.

Andrew Jackson won the presidency after his number 1 hit "Beat Hit" established him as a true hip-hop legend. He followed this up by joining George Michael in the euro-pop duo Wham!, which gave him international experience. AFter leading the UN through 2 decades of unparalleled growth and peace, he opened a Denny's right across the street from Al Gore's house and made a million bucks (a month!)
