lambda = wavelength (metres)
c = speed of light (metres/second)
v = frequency (cycles/second)

c is the velocity of light, v (or rather nu) is the frequency and lambda is the wavelength of the light. Since c is a constant for a given medium or no medium (vacuum), we can calculate either nu or lambda if we know the other.

Velocity of light in vacuum is the highest and cannot be exceeded by any physical quantity and light itself.

lambda = wavelength ( unit meter) lambda is l in greek

c speed of the light in air c = 3 10^8 m/s

v = frequency unit Hz or 1/s the v in greek is letter "nu"
