Yes, you can definitely bowl. I was on a bowling league and i continued to bowl until about 30 weeks. The baby dropped around this point and it became to uncomfortable. You can continue to bowl as long as it is comfortable for you. You can lift up to 25lbs. and I doubt your ball is that heavy. LOL
Take care and have fun.
BTW my Doctor along with every book I read said it is perfectly fine, and I have seen many woman bowl while pregnant.

NO! As a previous bowler and currently pregnant with 2nd son, I would seriously suggest not bowling.
1-You should not be lifting the amount of weight of a standard ball over and over. My ball is 12 lbs. and most women throw a ball that weight or heavier. Even when not pregnant you are bound to have sore muscles the next morning after a night of bowling unless you do it regularly.
2-Your body is getting a little off balance now. There is more of a chance of falling on a slick lane in smooth bowling shoes.
It doesn't matter how "healthy" you or your pregnancy is like some have answered. You simply can't be swinging that much weight back behind you and then forward, in smooth shoes on a slick floor. The risk is more about falling or straining muscles.
And for those answering yes that are on leagues...it is obvious that this person isn't or she would know the answer to this question already. Leaguers....come on you remember the first time you bowled and how clumbsy you were and how sore you felt the next morning. You can't seriously think it is okay for a pregnant woman to bowl? I have seen too many people wipe out hard on the lanes or fall backward swinging a ball. I would hate for this gal to take a chance like that. Even as a leaguer and not pregnant, I once unknowingly stepped in some water on the floor and then went up for my turn to bowl. Well that hurt. Feet stuck and went
face and hands first into the lane, front of me covered in oil. Now if I had been pregnant I can guarantee I would have been on the way to the ER. Not a risk worth taking while pregnant in my opinion.
Though if you went and used a small 5 lb kiddie ball and walked up into the lane without approach and threw the ball softly you should be fine. But really how good of a game are you going to throw doing that?? Plus, I wouldn't suggest even that though after you enter your 3rd trimester.

My doctor said it was fine, but as you progress in the pregnancy, it will be harder to do because your balance will be off and it'll be harder to get around your belly. I just went on Saturday (I was 19 weeks that day) and I used an 8 pound ball, bowling four games. Since I've noticed a lot of conflicting answers to your question, I wouldn't do it until you've asked your doctor. Each one may have their own opinion as to whether or not it's safe.

If you wear bowling shoes to make sure you don't slip, and go for a lighter ball you will be fine.
Taking a few steps with a ball in your hand and dropping it at the start of a bowling lane is not going to hurt your baby!

Asking your doctor would be best just be sure you arnt having any difficulties but I went bowling at 36 weeks and my friend was 20 weeks and we are both fine and so is our baby's. No harm just dont use a very heavy ball and be careful

I would call your doctor. I don't know, but I would tend not to think so. That's lifting, carrying, throwing and using all your muscles from your shoulders to your legs.
Bowling lanes are also slick. There is a good chance with the growing tummy that I think that you could easily fall.
I am currently 20 weeks, and I wouldn't go, except maybe to act as the cheering section and the concession runner to get the hot dogs and sodas.

You can go, but if you feel it pull or it feels uncomfortable at all you should stop bowling and just watch. I went when I was about 32 weeks and couldn't do it. It pulled my ab muscles.
