Go to a different doctor for a second opinion because it needs to be treated. Are you sure you couldn't be pregnant? Maybe you should consume more fibre in your diet. It could also be a bowel inflammation, or stomach ulcer. Also make sure you drink at least 2 litres of water a day.

You need to give a few more details. Where is the pain exactly? The abdominal region has the potential of having so many different things that can cause pain and bloating. So, instead of scaring you with 'probably' and 'maybe', I would consider going back to the doctor and demand further testing to figure out what it is. If your doctor stays on the urinary tract infection, you may want to find another doctor. Remember, they work for you! Either way, you need to give the doctor specifics about your symptoms. Does it bother you more after you eat, are your bowel movements normal, is it worse in the morning, evening, while sleeping or just the same all the time, are there other symptoms that you didn't think were related (tired, headache, etc.). How is your appetiete, activity level, etc.

The infection could have moved up into your ureter, or your kidneys.
Have you taken a pregnancy test?
Did you take all the medication as prescribed?

It's time to go back to your doctor...or to another doctor if the first one can't seem to find anything.
