What role did imperialism play in separting or combining peopl of differnt ethnic groups of India?

The imperialism you are talking about was British Imperialism. The British made India into one of it's colonies and ruled over them. This brought together the Hindu's and the Muslims and the others. As long as they stayed they were ruled over with an iron fist, but when the British left you had all these people who don't get along.

Well there was an imperialist movement in India i believe. But I would say that it got rid of the middle class and increased the number of impoverished people in the country. That and the fact that they wont eat the cows roaming the streets but they will stave to death. Now that's just stupid.
