I think that's a great idea!
I know of so many people on welfare that take their money and even trade food stamps for drugs not to mention those who are on welfare and sell drugs on top of that money.
I think random drug testing for welfare should be mandatory.

YES! I want MY money, that the socialist-run congress STOLE from me, to at least be spent on what they jokingly tell me it's for. Food and housing for those in need. Not so that some welfare junkie can get his / her next bag of crack or bottle of 20/20 while their kids skip school to learn the finer art of pimpin' their rides with the proceeds of their thriving protection racket.

no, I'm personally against mandotory drug testing. I think it invades people's rights.
even legal drugs appear on those tests and i don't feel anyone should have to admit or prove that they are on a percription of any kind.
although I'm not an advocate of all illict drugs I think what someone does in the privacy of their own home shouldn't carry over into their job- not if they are to be caught by law enforcement even within their homes there is nothing that can be done to help them.

Now there's an idea! We'd probably see a marked decrease in our tax dollars being used for welfare!

Yes they definitly should. Welfare should consist of a bag of potatoes, sack of flour, fruits and vegetables (canned), powdered milk, cheese, and vouchers for amounts of meat.
I hate watching people with welfare buy name brand goods while I buy the store brand. If your on welfare you don;t need hot pockets, dr pepper, and lil debbies.

Yes, along with teachers, soldiers, people on social security, medicare, medicaid and anyone else who is being paid with tax dollars; including the president. Oh, how about students with government backed loans and people with government backed mortgages, throw them in there too. Just think of the tax money you would save! You'd be rich! And all those taking your money would suffer. I think you would savor that part the most.

This question is ask here about once a month but I say yes every time.
I am a recovering addict/ alcoholic and I think that by giving every need to a person who has addiction issues you slow down their need to get straight. Giving welfare to addicts only enables their addictive behavior.

I want all members of the government to be tested weekly.
Fail the test, you are out of office for good.

this has been debated, and since people like Betty Ford made us think that addiction is a disease, you can't discriminate based on it...so if someone tested positive, they would then need to have treatment. Which means w epay extra for the testing, and extra for the treatment. As a conservative, i say 'no'.
