I was amazed how they beat the Buckeyes and now they lost

I was bummed but not surprised. Forget about Butch being hobbled for the last few weeks, the Badgers couldn't play anyone else's game. You can be one dimensional and good, but not great. They were good... that's about it.

Unfortunately for the Badgers the loss of Brian Butch was too much to overcome. His loss allowed other teams to double and triple team Alando Tucker which ground their offense to a halt. Butch's ability to set up in the lane not only allowed Tucker to go one on one. . . it also opened up slashing lanes and set up the kick out for open threes. In Butch's absence teams sagged into the middle and forced the erratic three point shooting badgers to try to win from the outside. People look at the stat sheet and figure Butch was only scoring 9 points a game and grabbing 7 rebound so it shouldn't have been a big loss. Us educated basketball fans know his loss was much more than stat sheets. His presence in the lane allowed the badgers to feed the middle of zones and throw back out over it with no difficulty. His loss was also an HUGE emotional loss for Wisconsin. All in all it was a very unfortunate occurence that resulted in a sorry end to the season for a very very good team that if healthy would have had a legitimate shot to win it all. Even sadder is the fact that this is a quality program with quality, humble, and all around good people in it! That is life however. . and life will go on! At least the crybabies from Duke are out so we won't have to listen to ultimate crybaby Mike Kzyzefsky whine anymore. We also won't have to listen to the need to get a life Duke fans and all their GAY premeditated loser cheers! Somebody needs to drop a bomb on Cameron indoor stadium and cleanse the world of that horrible bunch of annoying idiots!

Good deal they lost, they lost to team that was better than them. They lost to a team that they thought they were going to steamroll. Big deal its the tourney it wasnt that big of an upset, it wont be an upset when OSU loses either. Amazingly there are better teams in the tourney than those who might be ranked higher than them, it happens every year why be upset about it.

I had UNLV over Wisconsin in my brackets. Wisconsin is over rated. I also have Tennessee over Ohio St and Texas A&M over Memphis. So far i have a pretty good bracket. I also have Florida repeating... GO GATORS!!!!

Expected, given the injury.

Overrated. I knew they weren't gonna make the elite 8. I was surprised it was this early, though.

Go Jayhawks!!!
