My boyfriend and I had sex around the time I was expecting my period. He was wearing a condom and pulled out before he came. You could clearly see the load inside the condom. I checked it and there seemed to be no leaks, tears, or breaks. I am about 6 days late on my period, however, last month I was a week late without having sex for over a month. What do you think the odds are that I'm pregnant?

People, I know everything you are telling me.. abstinence is the only 100% effective method, there is always a chance, etc. etc. etc. I'm 18 years old, I know. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on my chances from knowledge or personal experience. Thanks and thanks to anyone who has already answered.

Condom is a good contraceptive method
Pregnancy/ failure rate is about 14%... Failure rate is less when it is used correctly and consistently.

Time during/near the menses/ period is not fertile period.

2 wks before that would be the fertile / ovulation period. Note, the slimy waterish discharge.

Coitus interruptus/ withdrawal before ejaculation is primitive but not a very reliable method of contraception because pre-ejaculation fluid/ secretion can also contain viable sperm.

But combined with barrier method such as condom, chances of getting pregnant is minimal. Make sure, it is the right size, no leakage, not reused etc.

But if you want to avoid pregnancy, consistent and correct use contraceptive method is necessary.

A week + or - your usual menstrual cycle is normal.

So, it's very unlikely to get pregnant with condom n withdrawal before ejaculation.

If still unsure, get a urine check for pregnancy.
simple and sure

nicely, pondering he pulled out before he went, he had on a condom, and it replaced into around the time you have been looking forward to your era fairly than once you're ovulating, i think of that there extremely isn't numerous a possiblity which you're pregnant. If it is late, it is in all probability because of the fact your cycle began to circulate off of the late era from final month.

I would say your not pregnant, without repeating some of what other people's comments.
I know there are ways that your period will be late, like stressing over if you are pregnant because of this question. Don't worry about it, until you are like two weeks late. If you are really concerned about it, get a home pregnacy test.

look if u used the condom then it's alright, now it would be a diffrent story if u did'nt use a condom at all ,and it's tottally normal to miss a few days when you 're expecting your period it happend to me,it just means that your period is irregular just wait a few more days to see if it regulates again if it does'nt then i think u should get a pregnancy test.good luck!and remember to always use a condom.

If you used to condom correctly, it is pretty unlikely that you are pregnant. If the condom was not used correctly, then there is a good chance you are pregnant.

I think u'r chances are very very slim....unless the condom broke!!!

You could just be stressing u'rself out...nothing says u can't take the test if u want to be sure and clear the thoughts from u'r head!

If he put the condom on before getting his penis near your vagina and you were careful about removing the used condom so nothing spilled on you then I'd say iit is unlikely that you are pregnant.

If you choose to have sexual intercourse, there is always a chance that you may become pregnant...small chance, but a chance just the same.
