Not everything. But if you're close to them, then don't hold back from telling how you feel on most things.

No not really. I find when I tell people what I am thinking or feeling I either feel like I am an idiot or they use what I say or feel against me in some way. Most times if I say anything it is to my mother or husband and they are the ones who hurt me the most with how I feel by telling me to get over it or grow up. Not something someone wants to hear when they are letting their guard down enough to let it out. So most times I hold it in and try to get by another day.

i pretend to tell everything that is on my mind
but actually i only tell happy talk
i avoid the meaningful and vunerable communications where i perceive someone might "judge" or "hurt" me or where there any raw anger or raw affection i might have or specific complaints where someone might not give a toss
the impact of withholding authentic communications like this is i experince mostly superficial relationships with people, even those so called "most important" to me, and if i broaden my view, i see that that is really that way i am with ALL people including you
I may act open and happy but there is a fixed resignation that i live with about how related to people i am and can ever be

I bet you are not so secretive. But a sensitive person would need to read(listen) between the lines. I do not tell everything that is on my mind. My husband tells what is on his mind but does not tell about his life.

This depends on a variety of things: the person I'm talking to, my mood and the subject of the conversation. Some things need to be told but I prefer to keep them to myself. Some things don't have to be told but I share them because I feel like it. I'm a very introverted person anyway, so sharing my thoughts is important. It usually results in people thinking I'm crazy, but still... I feel better and that matters.

Well if it is to odd you will be placed in a mental ward be careful most people are so into thiem selfs or stupid that deep thought only provides them with a reason to put you away.
I was prefectly sane and I mean 100% no BS and they thought I was nutz because they reality was a lie.

For the most part, I do keep some things back, if I think they will be painful for the other person to hear.

Usually I learn lessons pretty quickly but, this is one I just keep screwing up. I actually ATTEMPT to share my feelings w/ my spouse or mom...but, it USUALLY leads to just wanting to go dunk my head in a toilet somewhere. I do have ONE friend who, though she may not always agree, can listen, respect and understand how i feel.

I tell those who deserve to know what's on my mind, what exactly is on my mind. Others, I don't tell jack squat too.
Hey, since you're emo now, can you like do a ceremony and declare me emo too? I feel the need today.

I tell my mom everything. I sometimes refrain from telling my husband whats on my mind, so it does not end in a fight that gets dragged on for days!

I have a pretty close relationship with my Mom. I don't exactly tell her everything. But when I have trouble on my mind it seems to help talking with her.
