I am thinking about doing it, and I was told that you have to take half of a pill for a month because your body will have a bad reaction otherwise. I have never heard this before, and I was wondering if there is any truth to it.

It really depends on the level of hormones in the pill you are taking I was off and on the pill for many years and I always stopped cold turkey. I also was on a low dose as higher ones made me ill.
What happens if you miss a day? If you feel any different then consult your doctor. If not then you should be just fine.
The worst that will happen is that your period may take some time to regulate to a schedule. Just keep track of things.

I have never heard of the either.....Just do as the doctor has told you and you will be fine.. When i first started taking the pill it made me a little naucious, but it has to get in your system. If the pill is effecting you harfully then stop taking it ....Its your choice....

I don't think so. Finish your cycle and then stop taking it. I have never had a problem finishing any type of birth control. To be really safe, just ask your doctor. I am pretty sure you don't even have to finish the pack though.

i've never heard that either. just call your dr about it. i'm pretty sure you can just go cold turkey, and you'll get your period about 3 days later and then be kinda messed up for a month, but then be fine after that

I've never heard that, I finished mine and went off it immediately and I was fine.

You finish the pack you're on, then don't take any more.
That's how my Gyn told me to stop it.
