The Washington Post revealed the horrible conditions our veterans had to be exposed to at the Walter Reed Army Hospital in an article dated Feb. 18, 2007. Veterans and their families have recently testified that those poor conditions have existed for years.

If we indeed had a free press, why did it take so long to get the words out? Army personnel testified thst they were told by their superiors not to talk to the press but those facilities were not secret facilities and hundreds if not thousands of vets and their families have seen them so why didn't anyone complain to the press?

I'm not saying the poor conditions do not exist. I'm just wondering why no one had blown the whistle before and why the press would miss something that glaring. Were they (the media) too busy covering Brittany and Anna Nicole?

i don't understand how it took so long to hear about the shameful condition of this hospital where was the media i think its time to realize that our troops are not being treated with the concern we hear about on the news it didn't take days for this hospital to fall into shambles it took time and while we hear we need to support our troops where was the support from the government when this place was falling apart? i hope with this report coming out at last more attention will be paid to whats being done and less to whats being said

you notice, once you're making tax cuts for the very wealthy, some non-mandatory courses have have been given to be decrease. you comprehend like Walter Reed scientific institution, they do no longer prefer any money to handle and preserve, they're in basic terms treating wounded hero's that are sent off to conflict consistent with a lie. So what if there are some rats, the CEO of Exxon can appreciate his $10 million a year earnings, who desires the vets as they're wounded and no good from now on as solders, what's important is we pad Haliburtons no bid settlement, so the vice chairman can appreciate a super make the main of his investments. it incredibly is a repuglican certainty that they care greater on the subject of the wealthy and the super firms then they do on the subject of the working classification and the solders that they deliver off to conflict.

Liberal agenda boosting "reporting". That place has been in poor shape since before the current administration took over.
Just like the levee's condition in new Orleans. They were in poor repair for decades.
Firing those attorney's (not illegal) or anything else. If something can be used it will be. And the Liberal smear machine marches on.

For what? Its not broke then dont fix it. There was a question if ppl believed that their own govt would plan domestic attacks, n everyone that answered that question freaked out about it would never happen. Walter Reed is a prime example of why they would. These were vets that served this country, if the govt wont look out for them then who will they look out for?

Because now our "Free Liberal Freedom of Speech" Media hounds can use these events to their own political ends to beat up on the current administration and bring more volume to their outcry against current military operations as overtaxing an already stressed medical system.
