you must have went to public school... the federal gov. has been paying farmers not to grow stuff on there land for what.... 50 years now.. its called a farm sub. as far as growing corn or other wheat for fuel... there isnt enough farms in the US or south America to supply the entire US with that fuel... at best it will be an additive.. you really should read some...books are your friend..
here in NC we have a alt bio die fuel company.. they have written many articals saying this will not replace oil/fuel anytime in the next 100 years... at best it is an additive...

also yahoo. had a story that showed this type of fuel would hurt the poor people not only in the US but around the world as it would raise the price on a basic food staple... corn/wheat which are now cheap for a lot of people... it also stated that if this type of thing became a hit... alot of farmers would grow this only and we would lose alot of other type of food products that are not as profitable... like water melons, fruits , veggies... beans and other crops would all fall to the way side for the new cash crop.. bio - fuel corn or wheat.

Maybe it hasn't dawned on people that ethanol is probably the most immoral product we use today. Corn and other food products are grown to be rendered into fuel rather than used to feed people. How does this square with the desire on the left to help the worlds starving masses. How do they reconcile the fact that by promoting the use of ethanol the price of all food products goes up. Jobs in the meat production industry go overseas because of the increase in animal feed prices. Third worlders are prices out of a meal because corn prices are going through the ceiling in order to promote a so called green agenda. Why would anyone in their right mind want the president to increase production of this killing product just to enrich a few corporate farms and ADM. Just what kind of monsters populate the environmental movement?
