How do I add a rule for a specific user in Surfcontrol?

If answering please assume I am a complete newb here.

I am the new network admin here and am new to surfcontrol. I have read parts of the manual and to be honest u need a degree in surf control to understand the darned thing.
It doesnt seem to see users at all, but my predecessor has added rules for individuals so i know it can be done somehow.

The version of surf control might help people answer the question. Why not call surf control support... they will be able to assist you the quickest.
