about 3 days ago I lifted the blinds on one of the windows in my living room and it was covered in horse flies. Where they cam from- I dont know! So we killed them and were ok for the rest of the day. The next day same thing, we kill them and they come back the next day. Its very weird and I can find where they are comming from. I dont know what to do. The window is only place we see them, and its by a sliding glass window and they dont go near it!? I need help!

Is there a paste or something I can cover the window with, I have animals and I live on the bottom level of an aparment

Don't poison your family with a pesticide, it just isn't necessary. Put up a sticky flystrip near the window, and just kill whatever flies it doesn't catch. This is temporary and the first flies of spring are so slow, they can't even get out of their own way.

Use an insect fogger inside the house and see if that can kill them all - unfortunately you will have to leave your home for about 4-6 hours. But they will work (getting into cracks, etc to eliminate sources.

They're at the windows because they're trying to get outside. They were probably hibernating in your house somewhere and now they think it's spring. Just open the window....
