If I don't set my alarm clock, I sleep for 10+ hours a night. Often times, I get a full 12 hours of sleep. That is half a freaking day!

Anyone else sleep that much? What have you done to get less sleep yet still feel refreshed?

*YAWN* this post is making me sleepy

Thanks for the answers so far. Sis and Tiffany I really like your input.

I am a bit depressed and don't have much purpose right now. Plus my diet has gone to crap and I am a cigarette smoker. Not to mention, I havent been getting much exercise lately.

You might be depressed or lacking in Iron.
Make sure you take a multivitamin every day.
Also, if something is upsetting you: get some therapy! Therapy is a wonderful thing, and can really help you out. Some ppl aren't bothered by trauma in their lives. But others of us [self included] need real help to deal with the hurt.

If you don't feel like your life has a purpose, you'll get depressed. Try some volunteer work for a cause you really believe in. It'll give you a reason to get up each day :)

Do you exercise? I wake up every other day at 6:30 to do a walk (with some light jog intervals) for an hour. My energy level is higher and now I automatically wake up after 7-8 hours. Okay and an occassional hour nap in the afternoon on the days I jog.

Also, if your diet is full of starches and not enough vegetables it will drastically slow you down. Try eating a few more fruits and veggies in addition to some basic exercise. If that doesn't help after a couple of weeks, in regards to your physical and emotional well-being, you should see a physician.
