You can use a product like urine gone. If you don't want to spend the money on that . . .believe it or not ammonia works wonders. When my bassett hound first come to live with me he was from an abuse shelter. EVERYTHING scared him b/c he had been severely beat. Everytime he got scared, he peed. I would put 2 cups of ammonia in my carpet scrubber w/ plain tap water. The smell came right out of the carpet. After I scrubbed with Ammonia, I always went back over my carpets with carpet cleaner that was meant for my scrubber. Luckily or unluckily, the dog has adapted to his new lifestyle and is now a spoiled brat. He rules the house and is the laziest dog you will ever meet. BUT he is FINALLY housebroke LOL!!! Good Luck I hope this Helps!

Urine Gone! It's an amazing product. Sounds weird but it's awesome.
Then you can try putting down a carpet odor remover all over your carpet, let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then vacuum it up. It makes the air and the carpet smell fresh!

As long as it hasn't soaked into the pading, get some Nature's Miracle, or Simple Solution from the pet store. They are enzyme cleaners, and eliminate the odor. They don't mask it. If it's soaked into the pading, lots of luck!

When I was a kid, we used to use Carbon tetrachloride to clean up vomit, never had a problem with urine. HOWEVER, I can't recommend it as it has now been declared a carcinogen. Try the products from a pet store. I think the Arm and Hammer brand has something if a pet store is inconvenient.

You can buy all sorts of products but get the baking soda out of the fridge and try that first, apply it over the stain and it will draw out the odor, let it stand about 30 minutes and then vacumn.
