no they're not ashamed. most likely their parents won't approve and they're scared. as long as your partner cares for you you shouldn't even worry.

After I got engaged I told my mom and stepdad but held off telling my dad for a bit. I knew he thought I was too young (20) and would prolly think I was gonna run off and get married the next day (when in reality we waited 3 to get married) so I was a little nervous to tell him because I wanted him to be happy and couldnt stand the thought of getting a negative reaction from him. Maybe this is the same issue your fiance is dealing with. You need to talk to him and find out why he doesnt want to tell them. I am certain is not because he is ashamed.

I would be a little concerned with this he may eather -
Not know how to say it to them,
Already know they wont be pleased, for whatever reason, this dosent mean it has anything to do with you.
Or is not to sure he did the right thing.
Eather way - live life as if he had told them and try not to mention it just yet (or again) - but I would start to worry after the end of next month and confront him about it.
Other than that - I'm out of ideas!

If he asked you to marry him he is not ashamed of you. He might not want to deal with the family because he wants to be happy with just you for now.

one First ur feeling inferiority complicated no longer she. In marriage actual parts are no longer the factors. even although ur short she is tall or ur tall she is short. No project in any respect. In u belongs to India see Actor Amithabachan and Actress Jaya. So see the mentality of that female and nature of her no longer the peak. think if u pick 5'10" and fulfill for the peak. If her mentality isn't great u ought to stand in ur destiny. Dont see the outer see in elementary terms inner. ok.

You should just say that by proposing to you, he is agreeing to marry you. If he marries you, wouldn't his parents find out then anyway?
I'd be upset too if my fiance didn't want to tell his parents. Is he loves you then he should be proud to tell anyone.

Wow, that is a bad sign. I would be upset too if I were you. Usually this is news you can't wait to share with family. I say ask him, if you haven't already (which it doesn't sound as if you have). Better to know there's a problem now then after you've promised to be with this guy UNTIL DEATH.

What reason has he given to you?
Is there a reason why he maybe embarrassed, or ashamed..?
Is he usually a private type of person?
How are you and his family, do you get along?
I would say your best bet is to ask him!

It would be a bit difficult for him to get married without them knowing! Why doesn't he want to tell them? I would ask him.
