A few days ago my dog started acting really wacky around me and only me. She come up, sits down in front of me and then starts to shake...like she's nervous or scared. I thought this was really strange and I'm thinking it's because she senses something different about me. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed anything like this with there animals?

we have a 2 yr. old mini-schnauzer and he comes up and sniffs my tummy ALL the time. He didn't start doing this until about a week ago and Im 24 weeks pregnant.
He'll just come up when I'm sitting on the couch and put his paws up on the couch and start sniffing around the middle of my tummy. He has to be able to since there's a baby in there.

good luck! God bless!

I think that my dog was the first to know that I was pregnant. She started trying to cuddle with me around my belly all the time a couple weeks before I missed my period and realized that I was pregnant. She used to just sit between my husband and I on the couch and she started to sit on my lap and when we were in bed she would cuddle with my stomach whenever I was on my side. If I slept on my back she would put her head up on my abdomen! She was telling me that something was going on and I didn't realize it! I think that she is already starting to be protective of me and the baby. Also the other night my husband and I were discussing something and we raised our voices - not even yelling, just excited- she got in between the two of us and started giving him a look like he better be nice. =-) We both thought it was cute and we lowered our voices and discussed things quietly!

I don't know if this could be really true, but my uncle's dog sat at my feet and started to growl, so i got scared and started to run. She chased me around the room, the dog has never done that before. It was wierd, but maybe because she sensed the baby.

We have a yellow lab puppy that is growing rapidly and loves to jump up whenever you walk in the door. i am 28 weeks and for the past few months he jumps on everyone else but when i come in he sits and just puts his nose to my belly - it's kind of weird and funny. But it was funny because in my first trimester i was sick with nausea and such and he would always come lay right by my tummy.

unlikely to lie, i haven't had this concern (my sister has 3 rats yet all boys) yet I do have some suggestion. call an unique vet close to you and ask their suggestion. maximum vets would be extremely joyful with a concern like this to furnish some concern-loose suggestion devoid of you having to come again in. devoid of finding at her they can't inform you the way she is dealing with the being pregnant, how pregnant she is, etc., yet they'd supply you some suggestions approximately a thank you to proceed. good success!

I have a Jack Russell so it's hard to tell if he's acting weird or not. He's always weird. Dogs can sense not only pheromones but changes in your attitude and behavior. Don't sweat it too much and congratulations!

heck ya! My cat has NEVER slept in our bed and she is not the kind who wants to hang around ( she'd rather sleep somewhere people are not) But now that I am due soon she sits right infront of my face when I sleep and has become very vocal and affectionate. Very wierd...
