if you have ever heard of the Savage Nation with Micheal Savage, its a talk show on the radio in New York. I agree with most of his views although he disagrees with minoritys being treated better than whites who he claims are the incoming minority.would it be wrong to agree and be a fan of his other views? or am i looking like a hypocrite?

I do not believe that you should have to ask such a question. Do not fall into the hole that all blacks should think alike and all black should be liberal Democrats, otherwise they're not black (!!!).

I commend you for your individuality. Don't believe that you should "fit in". There's nothing wrong with standing out.

Be yourself.

Even though I 'totally love' my husband, we don't 'agree' on everything in the world ... and if we can 'agree to disagree' on some things then I'm sure that you can 'do the same' with this 'neo-conservative' commentator. Just because he says some 'really stupid things' in one area doesn't mean that EVERYTHING he says is 'really stupid' and you wouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water, would you? If you have a OPEN MIND and know that even 'radio commentators' and 'television news people' give more 'opinion' than 'fact' when they are 'on' then you will be a 'well rounded woman' who has 'thought more about these subjects than most other people' ... and maybe if we BOTH can do this, we can slowly teach the 'rest of the world' to be 'better' at things like 'critical thinking' and 'making good decisions' not just for themselves but for the 'world at large.'

Of course it's possible. You think for yourself, you have your own perspectives of the world, and you have your own experiences that shape your opinions. All of those things combined have led you to agree with certain opinions. There is nothing wrong with that. It sounds like you have a balanced outlook, in that you are able to agree with some things he says, without needing to agree with everything he says. That is called the power of discernment. We should not be sheep, blindly following any "party" or "movement". Trust yourself first. The intelligent person does not simply accept what they are told to accept based on race or majority. I know black people who are democrats just because most black people are democrats, even though they personally don't agree with much of the politics of the democratic party, or share the ideals. One of my friends completely supports the death penalty, yet voted for a candidate who was trying to get it abolished, simply because she "had" to vote democratic. Another friend voted republican, even though the candidate publicly supported a bill that my friend was fighting against.

You are rare, and intelligent. America needs more people like you.

To agree with someone 100% would be faulty. An intelligent person (such as yourself) is able to clearly make decisions on what they like and dislike, agree and disagree. No, you are not a hypocrite, you are an independent thinker.

As a side note I find it amusing and insulting that certain minority groups view persons of their group as traitors when they think differently. Be your own person!

why not? Is it possible for a generally conservative person like me to have [democrat] black friends? of course, and yes, I do, though we may have our political differences.
I think political conservatives often have overlapping culture with black america, though, generally black americans aren't republican.
Just one of those things, I guess...
I really think black ppl should consider being more republican. As is, if minorities all are democrat by default, then the democrats know they don't have to WORK for their minority constituents. Why serve the ppl that will vote for you, no matter what?
Minorities would have more power if they tended to be bi-partisan.
So I say, good for you.
