*a ball game
*Sears tower
*millineum park
*architectural boat tour (leaves from Navy Pier or River at MI ave)
*rent a bike and ride south from navy pier to Museum of Science and Industry - some great views of the city from the south lake front and less crowded
*theater
*Gino's pizza
there have been a few times that I have played "tourist" in my own city - so my faves from above include the architectural tour the bike ride

Take a boat ride on the Chicago river out to the lake. You can take one of the Wendella cruises from the river near Michigan Ave (near the Wrigley Building) or at Navy Pier. It may be chilly in april, so bring a jacket. But it's a great way to see the city from a different angle. Bring a camera and take a photo of the city skyline from the lake. Afterwards, head over to Greektown for lunch. Order the saganaki (flaming cheese) and yell "Opaaaaa!!!' with the waiters when they light it on fire.

Since you have apparently already been to the serious sites and stuff, use this afternoon in question wandering around and exploring by-lanes and you will be wonderstruck looking at what you see, and may ask 'Is this America?'!

Chicago's overrated.
Take the day and go to Milwaukee or Indianapolis or some other city that actually WANTS to attract people.
Alternatively, you can walk through the South Side, waving cahs and yelling, "A thousand bucks to anyone who can help a lost tourist!" Oh, hilarity ensues!
