Is May a good time to go to Disney World in FL? Is it crowded then?

The beggining of May should not be to bad crowd and weather wise. You should expect medium waits for rides(30 min average). There are always fast passes so you do not have to wait that long. The weather should be a little humid and in the 80's. If you go in the last two weeks of the month expect very long waits, humidity and tempatures in the 80-90 range. In the summer it usually rains for about 20 minutes a day(really hard rain) so be prepared. I would say the best time to visit Disney World is after Labor Day in september because all kids will be back in school. Hope this helps!

The beginning of May is better than the end. In the south, many (if not most) schools get out toward mid to end of May and usually Memorial Day weekend starts the summer crowds to the Disney Parks. It's a wonderful time to visit weather wise and crowds aren't too terrible since most children are in school.

May is a good time if you go in the first 2-3 weeks. Some schools get out the last week of May so there may be families there for the first week of summer. It won't be as crowded though as the rest of the summer will be. It won't be as hot either if you go the earlier part of May. It can get really hot with all the concrete absorbing heat. The best time to go is the fall through Valentines Day, with the exception of Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving. Those months (Sept-Feb) are the least busy. May will be busy, but not AS hot as July or August, which are pretty miserable in Florida. At least wiith the fast passes, you aren't forced to wait in terribly long lines.
