I find putting the peel of citrus fruits into newly planted flower beds keeps the local wildlife away - don't know why it works but it does.

It is a problem, even animal lovers do not want cats and dogs using their garden as a toilet or digging up plants.
We have used KEEP OFF, available from hardware stores. It is a blue gel like substance which you put around the edge of your lawn and the cats and dogs don't like it and will not cross, we have used with some success. The good thing is, it is not harmful to the animals. You can use the peel from oranges or lemons, my cat hated the smell of carnations, would not come near me if I had been cutting them to put in a vase. Good luck

I heard a fable and finally tested it - AND IT WORKS!!!!! Here is how to keep ALL ANIMALS (cats, dogs, squirrels, chipmunks) out of your yard!!!!!!!! I had heard this fable forever - and tested it AND IT WORKS!!!! AND IT IS USUALLY FREE!!!! Go to your local zoo - and ask for all the lion/tiger manure you can get - our local zoo gave me a free truck load - and they said I can get more anytime - all I can handle!!!! Spread this manure thinly around the outside lines of your property - TRUST ME ON THIS ONE - no cat or dog will cross that line!!! They will all go up to that line - smell - and turn around!!!! IT is AMAZING!!! It last for a few months and they are trained - but add more every few months for new animals!!! The manure is USUALLY dried when you get it - so it has NO smell to humans!!!! And my source is my front yard - which has no animals in it and dogs in the neighborhood - walk AROUND my yard - not through it anymore!!!!

You can go natural, and place pepper, or lemon /lime rind down over the lawns, and soil,(needs replacing every time theres winds or rain)or you can go hi tech, and buy a special electrical high frequency noise plug(that also does dogs, rats, mice, even ants)unheard by the human ear, just costs a bit,but who cares when it does the job.

This is true:
Put down plenty of fresh orange peel,as cats do not like anything which is acidic.
Also put doen large pop bottles filled with water as cats dont seem to like their relfections.
